Hey Everyone

By: Mike | March 14th, 2008

Hey Everyone. Thanks goes out to chris for setting me up with the page. Now a little info about me. My name is Mike and Im your typical 19 year old college student. I run on my colleges Track and Field team. I actually jump, both long and triple(45ft!!). If I cannot watch a game it is usually because of that, or it’s not on myp2p, or god hates me and is conspiring against me. You know what, it’s probably a combination of all three really. I also have a Mac and have to load up Bootcamp so that could also pose a problem.

Anyways, on a more serious note, Schalke and I. I’ll be the first to admit that Schalke is not my first team, AS Roma would occupy that spot. But Schalke definitely fills the #2 spot. They are kind of like that freshmen kid in high school who has spunk and stands up to seniors. or something along those lines, you get what Im saying(i hope). I really don’t know why I started watching them, just something about them that I like really. I just happened to be watching GolTv one time last year and watched the game. Im pretty sure that I saw Kuranyi totally own a defender. I try to watch the games whenever I can. Like I said above, it’s a combination of those four things above that usually stops me from seeing the games. So my apologies if I am not able to watch a game and review it. I’ll try my best to watch the games though. So if anyone has a site where i could download games that I miss, that would be pretty sweet.

Well Im going to go now, before I embarrass myself any more. Once again, thanks go out to chris for setting me up with the blog.

hehe thanks jacob. from what i have heard/read, shalke are sister kissers in a sense. And providing i do not have practice or ESPN does replays, i will try and get a good match summary. I might even try a preview :O

Hey Mike. Welcome! Great to see Schalke represented here.

You might try and set up a forum account here:
    http://www.fbtz.com/forum/index.php?

This site has a large media section with DL links for lots of matches. A good way to get Schalke games. You might also try and request a game and see if someone is willing to cap and spread it.

After that heartbreaking end to last year, I swore off Schalke forever. Unfortunately, that only lasted two games into this season. Sister kissers, nice. I actually relate them more to Kevin Costner in Tin Cup. Inner demons. Welcome aboard and I’m looking forward to your take on the roller coaster wreck that is our beloved Schalke.

I have not had much of a chance to watch a lot of the games so far this season. My track meets are usually on the weekends and practice is during midweek game time. But yes, I hope to see us get that CL spot again. It wont be the easiest thing in the world, but it is definitely possible.

Welcome, Mike! It’s about time we had a blog for “always the bridesmaid, never the bride” Schalke. :-)

Seriously, who doesn’t have a crush on Manuel Neuer? Besides Porto fans, obviously…
