the passing of Charly Neumann

With great sorrow Schalke has announced the passing Karl-Heinz “Charly” Neumann at the age of 77. An instrumental part of the club’s family, he joined Schalke forty-eight years ago, moving up the ranks to become youth coach as well as serving a caretaker manager. Superlatives of him and of what he meant to the club and its history are endless. The club is preparing a special service to note his passing, which I will post once further information is released.
